Interpolation-tuned salient region detection

Image salient region detection is very useful in many multimedia applications,such as image retrieval,adaptive content delivery,and adaptive compression.Most existing methods are based on centersurround diferences,usually detecting the diferences around region boundaries,so these methods emphasize the high-contrast edges instead of detecting the regions.Diferent from traditional methods,our method smoothly propagates salient region information to the whole image by performing color interpolation and produces such saliency maps that uniformly highlight the whole salient regions and have high contrast between salient regions and backgrounds.We compare our method with five state-of-the-art salient region detection methods on a large public data set.The proposed method not only generates visually reasonable results but also achieves higher precision and better recall rates.

确定覆盖层厚度的两种物探方法效果比较

该文以相同工区、相同测线上采用高密度电阻率法和地震折射波法相结合进行勘探为例,对划分地层界面,确定覆盖层厚度进行了综合对比与解释,结果表明:折射波法弥补了高密度电法分层的不足,而高密度电法弥补了折射波法对层面周围环境无法得知更详细地质情况的缺陷。当地球物理条件较差时,地震折射波法比高密度电法的勘探效果好。如果这两种物探方法相互补充,可得到更准确的地质构造。

A simple method for the measurement of organic iodine in wastewater and surface water

Total adsorbable organic iodine (TAOI) has been used as a surrogate parameter for X-ray contrast media in municipal wastewater. Available methods require specialized equipment for pyrolyzing these compounds to convert the covalently bound iodine into iodide, which is then measured by ion chromatography. In this study we describe a simple method for liberating iodide from these compounds with Cu(II) and hydrogen peroxide. Concentrations of TAOI were measured in wastewater effluent, surface waters that were expected to be impacted by wastewater, and unimpacted surface waters. TAOI concentrations ranged between 1.9 and 16.3 microg/L I in wastewater with a median of 6.5 microg/L I. The lowest TAOI concentrations consistently were detected in a wastewater treatment plant that apparently had few hospitals within its collection area. In comparison, TAOI concentrations in surface water that was unimpacted by sewage were between 0.3 and 3.5 microg/L I. TAOI concentrations in surface waters that were impacted by sewage were consistent with the expected conservative behavior of TAOI.     

钢构架中H型钢梁柱刚性接头设计探讨

目前锅炉钢构架中梁柱的刚性连接形式大部分采用梁腹板以螺栓连接,梁翼缘板采用全焊透的形式与柱连接。以H型钢为研究对象,通过对这种传统的梁柱连接及其他四种不同的连接形式进行非线性有限元分析,提出新的梁柱刚性连接节点的设计思想,即在梁柱连接区梁端采取扩大翼缘板宽度,同时柱端增加加劲肋,避免在连接焊缝区域产生应力集中的现象,使因应力过大而产生的塑性铰远离连接区,提高节点的承载性能。     

太湖水乡今昔

1962年同济大学城市规划专业毕业论文选题之一是“太湖水网地区城镇建筑群空间处理”,毕业生曾繁智,论文命题和指导老师是董鉴泓先生。太湖水乡地区近些年来持续成为经济发展的热点地区,城镇面貌发生着巨大的变化。发表40年前的这一论文的主要成果,又补拍一些新近的照片,今昔对照呈现鲜明的对比,也引发了对古镇保护和经济发展的进一步思考。
